The truth about toucans

There seems to be a common misconception that only the big "mainstream" toucans are actually toucans. I've had people tell me time and again that Chester isn't a toucan, he's an aracari. He's actually both. For some reason, the geniuses who came up with the categories for birds made the overarching category the same as the subcategory. Sort of like there being a breed of dog called "dog." Silly, right? I've listed in the chart below a visual breakdown for those who are curious.
